The AEECI National President alongside Four of His Predecessors
A historic photograph bringing together the current National President of AEECI and four former National Presidents, representing several decades of leadership, succession and service within the Church.
Church LifeThis photograph is a valuable testimony to the history and institutional continuity of AEECI.
It brings together the current National President of AEECI and four of his predecessors, servants of God who led the Church as National Presidents during different periods:
- BOAN BI ZRE Emmanuel, National President from July 19, 1975 to August 4, 2001;
- KOUASSI ALEMGBRE Pascal, National President from August 4, 2001 to October 4, 2013;
- GBAKA Ben Zahui, National President from October 4, 2013 to December 20, 2017;
- Apostle Bien-Aimé BOTTI Luc, National President from December 20, 2017 to January 30, 2026.
An important milestone in AEECI history
BOAN BI ZRE Emmanuel holds a special place in the history of AEECI as the first pastor to serve as National President.
Before he assumed the presidency in 1975, the leadership of AEECI had been entrusted to Church elders. His election therefore marked an important transition in the history of the Church, as pastors subsequently began to serve as National Presidents.
The four former Presidents featured in this photograph therefore represent this pastoral succession in the national leadership of AEECI.
Beyond their respective terms of office, this image symbolizes the passing on of a legacy, unity across generations, faithfulness in service and the continuity of God's work within AEECI.
We give thanks to God for the ministry of these leaders and for every generation of servants who have contributed, and continue to contribute, to the growth and influence of the Church.
“Thus far the Lord has helped us.” — 1 Samuel 7:12
